This evergreen sub-shrub has an excellent, vigorous, low growing habit that makes it perfect for rock gardens and containers. It has cute, small blue flowers that cover the entire plant in the spring. Rich green foliage is needle-like. Flowers attract the attention of butterflies, as well as onlookers.

Grow in full sun (or part shade in hot climates), in moist, well-drained soil. Amend with compost before planting. Good in a raised bed, rock garden, or spilling over a retaining wall. Avoid crowding by larger plants. May be trimmed lightly after initial bloom. Apply mulch for the winter. Dislikes the hot, humid conditions of the deep South.
